For Dream Music, the sound art festival
organised in Bari-Italy
by the music label Vel Net
in collaboration with the Ara Damanhur association

THURSDAY 22 April at 21.00
at the Ara Damanhur Centre in Bari
Nando Di Modugno "Resonant life"
concert for classic, electric and amplified guitar
with Franco Degrassi.

Nando Di Modugno is a sensitive guitarist with a classic background,
then arrived to the contemporary music and jazz.
He's attracted and made curious by everything is beautiful
without preclusion of genres.
He divides himself between concert activity
and teaching at the conservatory.
Resonant life is a reading of music by different authors
who wrote for classic, electric and amplified guitar
among contemporary, avant rock and electronic music.
The concert is a branched route that ideally has its root in Bach
as initiator and precursor of that geometry
explored, used and sublimated in the music till now,
similarly to the inner route lived by Nando
in twenty years with his instrument.

Guest of Nando Di Modugno and of Dream Music in the concert is Franco
Degrassi.
We'll listen to one of his pieces for amplified guitar and electronic
support
and "Luminal", a piece for digital support in which Degrassi elaborates =
in
real time
some sounds of cetaceans with the C-sound software and signal =
processors.
Franco Degrassi, composer/performer and data processing researcher,
has been software developer and didactic spreader.
He organised in Bari- Italy the contemporary music festival Silence =
2002.
His electronic compositions have been performed in festivals in the Usa,
in Uk, France, Cuba, Italy.
