Do you know AOKI Takamasa? He played live in 2003 with
Jan Jelinek, Vladislav Delay, Akufen, Snd... There are
3 full-length albums from AOKI by now i think, of
which i've heard only the newest one, Indigo Rose,
released by Progressive Form, a label from Tokyo.

This is a live recording from AOKI, it's about 35mins.
The music sounds like a perfect mix of experimental
and idm. Some parts of the live recording sound like
Ryoji Ikeda or Anton Nikkila or some other
experimental artist, but those are only isolated parts
of the whole sound, the whole sound is unmistakeably
Aoki Takamasa. But don't expect to hear pure melodies
or pure sound-experiments if you hear this live
recording, everything is twisted and mixed up in a
very original and new way. One of the questions you
might ask yourself when you listen to Aoki Takamasa
could be: Is IDM still alive or not?
