Ok... I am working on formulating specifics on this based on disk 
space, format specifics etc.

If we decide that each person can use 30 (or more) seconds from the
movie as a base for their audio piece and then when finished, the 
base material and
the finished piece would be uploaded, would that consume too much 
space/ cause too lengthy downloads/ suck too much bandwidth??

It would be easier to manage if we started with a single file of the 
vid, and then each artist just added soundtrack. That way you'd know 
the vid was always in the same format etc. This however does not 
allow for as much variety in the choice of "scenes" to use.

I'd also like to be able to work with more than 30 seconds of video.

Thoughts?
