I don't know if he uses laptops but he he does use computers (since 70's). And there is Pamela Z (www.pamelaz.com) but I don't to what extend she uses computers.
Also, I don't think that these 2 do actually minimal/lowercase. But it definitely is of interest to the list.
However, I find hip-hop quite minimal and it shouldn't be difficult to find any black people doing it with a laptop. But this is not my area of interest so can't help.
