too late!

i always thought the 'winner' gets to write the history. 

similarly, i just finished re-reading _1984_ [not too smart for having a
sunny perspective on the world ...], and there's a lot there about
history and rewriting [and, by extention, media and rewriting since all
media write a kind of history every day].
