I mean, I've posted a couple bits of OT promo myself but this is just
getting ridiculous. So, in order to retaliate against this recent
onslaught of advertising I feel the need to ridicule some small part of
it.
from the above blurb:
"...concerned with the relation between space and cognition, rendering the
vibration of objects audible,..."
um..rendering the vibration of objects audible? What kind of nonsense is
that? Sound is, by definition, the vibration of objects.
How 'bout: "This record is indeed a precious listener's guide to the world
of Mr. tsunoda."
People don't talk like that. That sentence sounds like something straight
from the mouth of the capitalist machine. Why are we subjecting each
other to this stuff. Don't we get enough of it already without generating
more? Aren't the thousands, possibly millions of ads you see every year
enough? Must every mailing list eventually turn into a tupperware party?
ok, ad-bashing over, and no offense to the artist in particular, I'm just
using this ad as an example of the gobs and gobs of dribble I've been
finding in my box daily.
