I noticed that as well, about the optical line in/out, a friend a work said 
it was to take advantage of dolby surround sound with some games and other 
apps, but I really have no idea.

I hear that the G5 is going to be pushed in new laptops cause it has ultra 
small processors that use little power, that would be great, I have an old 
g4 tower running a 400, still satble as hell, but would love to move up to a 
laptop sometime soon.

ok, sorry for the OT tech talk... but its mac and people here like the macs, 
so you know it's all about the macs.
