[ot -in search of ancient tape recorders]

hoping someone can put a name/manufacturer to this bit of recording toy
nostalgia...

i received a play/toy tape recorder xmas of 1969... don't remember the
brand... it had a close-looped cartridge that lasted maybe a minute or
two... unlike any format i have seen since... it was small, like a cassette
in tape width (1/4-3/8"?)... the plastic unit had a speaker and microphone,
and must have had some kind of switch for selecting play or record...
probably was battery operated...

probably was available thru a sears catalog...

this was my first recording experience... and i was hoping to begin a search
to obtain another one of these... but cannot find anything like it in my
search engine forays...

anyone who can suggest any place to look for info on this era of toy
recorders, please help... mostly am looking for a manufacturer/model #...
and possible place to see a picture of one, find one in operating
condition...
