i love my er-1. kind of a cheap version of the elektron machinedrum. they=
 are
especially nice wit you run them through some midi-synced filters, such t=
he
electrix series. i would also layer the filter beats by running the whole=
 unit
into live sampler/loopers. it really disguises their 'korgness.' that sai=
d,
run them through any and all effects... the only thing that the er-1 lack=
s
that would mak it truly sublime is multiple outs, which is why i tend to =
stick
to my roland tr-x0x gear for live PAing...
