LA places to go

hello

i will be moving to LA for school in early september and have never been 
there before

could anybody in the area maybe provide a bulletted list of "LA places to 
go" related to microsound, experimental music, installation and performance 
art? that would be much appreciated.

also - are there any web resources (listservs, sites) that cater to LA 
performance/discussion weirdness?
