RE: [microsound] LA places to go
A few more ideas --
TONE, which used to be monthly, but is now a bit more sporadic -- email Leo
Zhao at zhao@xxxxxxxxxxx to get on the announcement list.
Twine is once a month at the Alterknit Lounge in the Knitting Factory.
www.knittingfactory.com or www.greengalactic.com
2 venues in Hollywood have been having some interesting shows lately in the
more experimental direction - Qtopia (on Gower) and Star Shoes (on Hollywood
blvd.)
A multi-use coop, Casa del Pueblo in Echo Park, has the occasional music
show -- all kinds of shows/art/performance/political activism going on
there.
Get on the LAOpenings list - a good announcement list for art and
performance art events and openings. Send a blank email to
LAopenings-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Welcome to LA - as the others have noted, a lot is going on here... it's a
good place to be right now! :)

Interviewer: "Must an artist be a programmer to make truly original online
art?"
John Simon: "Truly original? You Modernist! Whether you make art or not,
understanding programming is an amazing understanding."
