on the amnesiac/kid a tour...they had a camera showing what band members 
were playing with...

thom yorke was using a kaoss pad to loop & distort his vocals on "Everything 
is in the Right Place" while Johnny Greewood (guitarist) was on the floor 
messing with a bunch of effects pedals to shift the prominent melody 
tones....

so it wasn't software at all...just a clever way of working with hardware & 
effects.
