STELZER & TALBOT
Intransitive Recordings is proud to present the long-awaited debut CD by
Howard Stelzer and Jason Talbot. "Songs" contains eight concise pieces of
electro-acoustic music created from cassette tapes and a single turntable.
Since the duo's inception on 1999, they have worked toward developing a
unified, improvisatory sonic language by approaching their machines in a
decidedly instrumental manner. For their first album, Stelzer & Talbot take
inspiration from artists such as Schimpfluch-Gruppe, P16.D4, SBOTHI, as well
as musique concrete and contemporary free improvisation, arriving at a voice
entirely their own. The duo's music demonstrates a raw passion and energy,
anchored by tense silences.
Stelzer runs the Intransitive Recordings label, and Talbot the Kissy Records
label. They live in Boston, Massachusetts.

BRENT GUTZEIT
Brent gutzeit has recorded and released many works (with tv pow and
side-projects such as wheaton research, mora and television power electric)
for his own label - boxmedia. he has also produced work for such labels as
erstwhile records, bottrop-boy, fire inc., staalplaat, and gentle giant
records.
?losing every day?, brent gutzeit?s first official solo album. just under an
hour long, ?losing every day? is an album that is both aggressive and
gentle; gutzeit has created a beautiful blend of field recordings, drones,
self-made instruments, and extreme frequencies. this album is honest,
melancholy, and filled with that classic chicago self-deprecating humor.
seriously good!

JASON SOLIDAY
Jason Soliday lives in Chicago and performs using computer and cracked
electronics as part of gunshop, mora, solo as coeurl and sometimes with
seafoam. Jason runs the Crank Satori music label.

JOHN HUDAK AND BRUCE TOVSKY
performance title: "rabbit in a cage"
to the side of a wooded path
a rabbit in a cage
i feel my years
setup: john hudak, guitar/processing
bruce tovsky, video/processing
john hudak bio:
I began piano lessons in first grade. I remember the teacher was Japanese,
and her home had a feeling of preciseness. The piano I had my lessons on
was immaculate...the keys were smooth, cool, ivory, with a definite weight
under my little fingers.
bruce tovsky bio:
what has always appealed to me about video is its immediacy, its
malleability. when i do a live video improvisation i think of myself as
painting with light.
