DANIEL MENCHE (Portland, Oregon)
(works stemming from "somatic" sounds, relying on the body--heart, skin,
lungs, larynx, to natural field recordings, wind, animals, insects, water,
fire, stones. Daniel Menche unleashed terror on the first bill when 7hz
opened its doors to the public in 1995. The monster is back to close the
doors...)

DAVE PHILLIPS (Zurich, Switzerland)
(Dave Phillips co-founded Swiss Hardcore-extremists Fear Of God in 1987.
Since 1991 he has been a member of the Shimpfluch-Gruppe, a collective of
actionist performers including Rudolf Eb.er (Runzelstirn & Gurgelstock) and
Joke Lanz (Sudden Infant). Dave Phillips is also a founding member of OHNE.=
)

SPASTIC COLON (Los Angeles)
(Spastic Colon is Erik Hoffman and Jorge Martin, two of the hardest working
men of sound art of Southern California. Erik Hoffman founded and runs
Ground Fault Recordings and has recently curated The Beyond Music Festival.
Jorge Martin founded the historic noise venue IMPALA caf=E9 during the latt=
er
1990s.)

15DBZ (San Francisco)
(First appearance of 15DBZ at 7hz. Lead by notorious noise head Mark Wilson=
=2E
This will be 15DBZ's most anticipated performance of the year before their
permanent departure to Berlin, Germany.)

SATURDAY

ERIC LA CASA + JEAN-LUC GUIONNET (Bordeaux, France)
(La Casa and Guionnet will perform AFFLUX, capturing the sounds in and
around 7hz to perform a live composition with sounds gathered around the
area the previous two days. Both La Casa and Guionnet are accomplished
composers working in France)

COLIN POTTER (UK)
(Over the last 12 years, Colin Potter has increasingly concentrated on
experimental work with artists such as Current 93, Ora, Organum, Kiln,
Andrew Chalk, Jonathan Coleclough and most notably, with Steven Stapleton o=
n
several albums by Nurse With Wound.)

QUIET AMERICAN (San Francisco)
(Quiet American is the ongoing project of Aaron Ximm. In his own words, "Th=
e
world makes its own music, but we rarely listen with naive ears. Quiet
American is the manipulation of sounds I hear and record. My goal with Quie=
t
American is to sketch in sound the experience of being in an unfamiliar
place.")
