RE: [microsound] playing live on a PC laptop

Although it's not considered a live app, I found that you can put Fruity
Loops to a good use 
for playing samples , loops and vsts, applying realtime effects, etc.
And of course both Audiomulch and Ableton Live are highly recommended.
