Yes, this is a rather huge bombshell for experimental music in general. .
Speaking from a label perspective, they were, hands down, the most
reliable distributor I've ever dealt with and it's no exaggeration to say
that they played a major role in helping to expand (let me add...)
experimental music in general. I definitely would not have gotten into some
of the music that I love so much today if it wasn't for Anomalous in the
early 90's.
Btw. Eric expressed interest in distributing the Usa/Usb comp but I guess
this isn't going to happen now. Does anyone on the list know of any
distributors in the u.s.(or anywhere else for that matter) that might be
interested in carrying the comp. Ed from Eclipse said he'd probably carry
some so we've got that going for us. Remember that proceeds go to the
victims of 9/11 so this isn't about any fiancial gain for me. It's about
helping people. Any help would be much appreciated.
Also btw: Did that blackout suck or what!
