PRESS RELEASE::::::::::
TACET NCV
Tacet NCV is a fresh duo with Tore Honor=E9 Boe and double-bass =
freestyler=20
Michael Francis Duch. They are currently working on their Beckett Suite, =
and they have collaborated with Neumann/Krebs, Tor Haugerud (Transjoik)=20
and Per Borten (Cadillac). Tacet NCV is working in the field between=20
concrete sound and post-jazz, raging from action-sporty clashes to 'new
silence'.
Michael Francis Duch completed his jazz/improv education at the music=20
academy in Trondheim last year, and has already shared stage with a=20
range of interesting musicians, such as Otomo Yoshihide, Sachiko M, Matt =
Davis, Mark Wastell, London Improvisers Orchestra, Sigur Ros, Mats=20
Gustafsson, Johannes Bergmark, Leif Elggren, Kevin Drumm, Paal=20
Nilssen-Love, St=E5le Storl=F8kken... He visited London in spring, and =
he is=20
back for more.
TORE HONOR=C9 BOE
Tore Honor=E9 B=F8e has been coordinating the activities of the Origami=20
Republika network since 1990, and has been involved in a long list of=20
recordings and live presentations under some of its monikers, side=20
projects and solo. He presents sound and visual collages based on an=20
open Maximalist approach clearly build upon the Merz tradition.
Since the 2003 LEM Festival B=F8e has toured Europe with his .MO# =
project,=20
creating sound collages on his selfmade acoustic 'laptops' (miked wood=20
boxes with a lot of tiny objects attached inside). The touring has=20
brought him to various places in Spain, UK, France, Belgium, Norway and=20
Gran Canaria (where he now lives). He will now complete this project in=20
London, before starting to edit and master various related releases. =
B=F8e=20
has collaborated with a.o. Roel Meelkop, PBK, Das Synthetische=20
Mischgewebe, Francisco L=F3pez and Lasse Marhaug.
MURMER
Murmer is Patrick McGinley, an American born musician and theatre artist =
who has lived and worked in Europe since 1996. The concentration of=20
his work is the framing of sounds from our environment which normally=20
pass through our ears unnoticed and unremarked, but which out of context =
become unrecognisable, alien and extraordinary: crackling charcoal, a=20
squeaking escalator, a buzzing insect, or one's own breath.
Patrick is also a co-founder and chairman of Framework, an organisation=20
that produces a biweekly radio show on Resonance FM and organises and=20
promotes live events for artists working inthe realm of field recording=20
and phonography.
