ASIO iMic driver question

ok this might sound totally stupid but I downloaded that free asio imic
driver for os 9 but all it does is unpack a folder with a file in it
called asio driver what do i do with it does it need to go into the system
folder? or does it reside in the application you want to use with it?
I would have thought there would have been some sort of control panel for
the driver or some thing but there is nothing... can someone help
please...
