once i was talking with lesser and he told me
that he loved to put honey on cds: it was one
of the best tecniques of this type he had ever
tried out. 

though not on a nano-scale level, the idea is very
similar (variable refraction indexes). 

only con, all his cd players had died after a while... 

this fungi thing seems more stable... i'll have a try.
