I listened to most of the names mentioned above. The live show of ISO, Ikue
Mori (saw her once in HK while she played with John Zorn and Mike Patton),
Hoahio is amazing. The live action of Keiji Haino is also unbelievably
powerful and moving (saw him played with drummer of Ruin once in Macao).
The approach of these Japanese musicians toward their instruments is very
interesting. For example, Otomo Yoshihide mis-use anything under his
control; Sachiko M uses her sampler without samples; Keiji Haino is like a
mystic master when working with his guitar and drums.
Cheers.
