[ot?] noise remover and a mailinglist question

sorry to bother list with this question:
I need a real-time plugin to perform noise removing using statistical 
information of a given sample. Or also one that implements the echo 
cancellation algorithm...any idea where to look?
Sorry if this is an OT.. but.. can you suggest a better email-list to 
ask this kind of questions?
