Probably not *exactly* what you're looking for, but these articles have
some interesting insights on minimalism in contemporary electronic
music.

By the way, there are things called "libraries" which will loan you
books so you don't have to buy them. :-) Have you checked your local
library already? Maybe a university or college library would lend you
stuff.

philosophy 
of minimalist art - painting, sculpture, music, etc - purely for my own
