INTERVIEWS
Jimmy Edgar
Street-smart and wise-beyond-his-years, inspired by
junky-infested sewers and industrious landscapes, Jimmy Edgar--Warp's
latest signing---evolves a style described as "scratches galore and
moody electronic pulses via some glorious Detroit Neon."

MUSIC REVIEWS
Nick Forte: Pasted Lakes
Solo album debut from one-half of Christmas
Decorations fits within the Schematic landscape while retaining an
identity all its own.

Loam: Terra Obscura
Loam's Topscore release is composed of long, evolving
arrangements that do not rely on evolving textures necessarily, but that
take their time and bring you from one place to another.

Robokoneko: Anembo
All 11 tracks from Anembo are layers of melodic
and little sounds joined together with simplicity and a composer's
approach to music. It sounds like music that comes from a distance.
Simple, personal and lovely music for a quiet place.

Frank Martiniq: Neowoogie
This strange hybrid of house, jazz, funk and
techno helps to define Frank Martiniq as a distinct voice in electronic
music.

Chris Watson: Weather Report
Formerly known as a collaborator with
Cabaret Voltaire and the Hafler Trio, Chris Watson's newest Touch
release is another foray into environmental field recordings.

TECH REVIEWS
Heelys Mack
These all-terrain rail-slide-capable Heelys features exterior
wheels and a grindplate on each sole. They improve upon the functional
issues facing the previous models, including the terrain limitations
from the wheel design and the inability to rail slide.

Sony Ericsson T306
Like a puppy, this endearing cellphone can be at once
adorable and a constant nuisance. A fullcolor screen, polyphonic
ringtones, wireless web and IR port are good things. The poor interface
design in some areas and a few software bugs are not-so-good things. At
least it doesn't leave messes on the floor...
