Re: [microsound] noise?

Noice is the sounds from our world and ourselfs. Music is only more or less
structured noice - in every form. I think this should be interesting for
everyone. (=audience). I hardly find anyone that is impassive about noice.
Some like it, some hate it and some like part of it. For me personal I can
feel a bit uncomfortable if the so called "noice music" is to loud and there
is no escape in sight. But that is more due to sound technicians exceeding
the level for comfortable sound volume pressure (dB), than the music itself
and some small amounts of tinnitus of mine (that indeed also is noice)

> 2. Why?

Because our world are transmitting noice and our ears are constructed to
receive the noice. In some way there is no escape.

Maybe my try to leave my thoughts on this is a bit too simple - but I can
really feel that above is true for me.

If you play Ravels Bolero or something other rather nice structured music
(noice) you can get to a point where this is considered more as noice, for
instance if playing this backwards from a scratchy vinyl and distort the
signal before sending it to a PA system to an audience.
You can also hate Bolero from lot's of different reasons and then it can
become noice as well, even if played on super hi-fi system. (why am i
suddenly thinking of Apocalypse Now and Wagner here??? :) ) New or
unknown music is often considered as noice. This also goes for unwanted
music that is forced upon us.
