Another option might be PureData. PD has built-in netsend and netreceive
objects to connect over the LAN using TCP/IP. I used it in a live
performance for a month. (dark.zthollandia.nl) Optionally you can connect
the two (or more) PD-patches using software MIDI-cables such as midiyoke.
I know there is also such a solution for audio input and output, but I
don't recall the name of that driver.
