im glad this txt is recv'ing renewed attn.
"As We May Think" also appears in the recently published _New Media Reader_ which is an academically oriented (as a txt book) publication tracing various histories, themes + strategies. "As We May Think" has been very influential of course for many ppl, incl'ing those who conceived of + implemented the primary [technologies/standards/backbone] of the net. i have taught "As We May Think" in the context of [new media/web-based] studio courses + have found the txt to be very engaging for students + myself as artists. "As We May Think" has also had a strong influence on criticalartware, particularly in the development of liken, the system we are soon to release. this txt is crucial for anyOne interested in the conceptual [motivations/history] of hypermedia + networked systems.
