[microsound] New Releases: Cinema Volta on iTunes

The albums "Stuff" and "Tube" from Cinema Volta are now available
through Apple's iTunes Music Store.

"Stuff" is a collection of ten years worth of ambient soundscapes.
Described by eMusic as "Pure ambient heaven . . . " and listen.com as
" . . . gorgeous stuff." The album can be found at

"Tube," described by CD Baby as "epic world fusion" is a mixture of
electronics and dijeridoo and features collaborations with Dave Gamper
of See Hear Now and the Deep Listening Band, and David Azarch, the
former DJ from New York's Mudd Club. The album can be found at

Both of these albums combine acoustic and electronic instruments with
digital manipulation. The equipment used ranges from a 16 bit Atari ST
to a Macintosh G4 and almost everything in between. The collaborations
with David Gamper feature the Expanded Instrument System that he
developed in his work with Pauline Oliveros and the Deep Listening
Band.

Full length streams of several of the songs can be found at the Cinema
Volta website at http://www.cinemavolta.com/listen.html
