Deconstruction (or post-structuralism) was targeted at French "anti-humanist 
structuralism" (semiotic analysis).  See: Sassure's (-->Barthes, 
Levi-Strauss...) "langue" and "difference"; Derrida's (-->Lacan) 
"transcendental signified" and "differance"
