..microsound project [thx again kim!]

i took the huge spam word list and put it in an array. i cleaned it up a
bit by removing the periods and commas [since i was adding punctuation
anyway]. i know this compromises the integrity of the starting material,
but at least i'm admitting it.

i wrote a perl script to grab 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7 words from the list at
random and put them into a line. there was a 1 in 5 chance of adding a
punctuation mark to the end of one of the words in a line.

i ran the script and requested it produce 313 lines of text like this. i
looked over the lines and threw away the ones i didn't like. i took the
rest and rearranged them until i had the mesostic verse i wanted.

i went to some of cage's lectures at harvard many moons ago. in the
introduction, after he said he generated all the text with chance
procedures, he said that he felt free to throw away what he didn't like.

i feel the same way.
