It's not hard to think that perhaps it merely inspired him conceptually
to the the extent that he felt he should put it on the list. Kind of a
way to acknowledge it without becoming too big a focus... except on
unforeseen future internet mailing lists with people realizing not so
much of the new is really unprecedented.
