THE MYTH 

The Wayfarer walks incessantly , night and day , striving not to remember and not to look around him. All of a sudden , in a deserted place , he encounters the Drunken Girl weeping , all on her wn.He approaches her and is about to caress her; but straightaway she takes a knife from her bosom and swiftly as lightening, she cuts off his head. As the Wayfarer's body falls on the ground, it becomes metamorphosed and turns into Alcibiades. As of that very moment , Alcibiades starts to search for the Wayfarer inside himself. The Drunken Girl sinks into a well to merge with the image either of the Wayfarer or of Alcibiades - this she will never learn. And the Wayfarer wanders endlessly in the body of Alcibiades and in the visions of the girl who has drowned."  - Manos Hadjidakis -
