New Feature and Reviews on Furthernoise

New to Furthernoise this month is the editor?s feature ?The proliferation of
net only independent releases & CDR labels?. This wide ranging editorial
uncovers the very best net based music whilst taking a look at where it all
began, where it?s going and the reasons behind it?s steady growth. Roger
Mills flags up a host of innovating labels, musicians, journals and
broadcasters highlighting the diversity of independent online music from the
perspective of musicians and listeners alike.

This months-featured review?s are a selection of international releases from
musicians and labels including Sijis, Scarcelight, Dainty Deathy and
musicians Darren Ziesing, Mikroknytes and Holzkopf.

As part this feature Furthernoise will be hosting a two part series of
online Jam sessions and interviews in Furtherfield?s Visitors studio. Log on
as musicians from Sijis and Scarcelight discuss their music while having an
a/v jam in the Visitor?s studio.

Sijis Recordings - Thursday 19th February at 9pm GMT.

Scott Taylor, Mr Mutton_deluxe, Fail Safe and Sluggo twist and hirl sound
files at each other whilst giving us an insight into their new releases and
the running of their London based CDR label Sijis Recordings.

Scarcelight Recordings - featuring Mikroknytes ? Sunday  29th February at
2pm GMT.

This session will be played out in real-time from Alabama as label manager
/musician Chris Jeely discusses the Scarcelight philosophy whist Mikroknytes
Derek Morton and John Casey serve up an audio visual collage of their new
material.

Furthernoise showcasing a diverse array of artists and groups who are
pushing their work further than the traditional remit of corporate
controlled cliches, re-interpreting new terrains that communicate via sound.
