[microsound] Audio Finder Microsound skin project
now that I have made my studio laptop an OSX machine (it is dual bootable
into OS9 -- just in case...) and I have 80% of all my Max/MSP/Jitter
externals, patches, abstractions, etc ported, I needed some way to manage my
soundfiles - since I work by designing large sound libraries and then
performing with them live...
I've been using this great little app made by Iced Audio: Audio Finder
<http://icedaudio.com/> ...its a great tool for browsing large collections
of audio files on a hard drive or CDR...
one of the (many) cool things about AF is that you can modify the look of it
by pointing the app towards a jpg of your own design to customize its
look...Iced Audio asked me to contribute some designs for the skins but I
had the idea that maybe they would rather make available a microsound skin
collection...they liked the idea and asked me to propose it to the list...
so here is what you need to do:
- create (as many as you like) 256 x 256 pixel graphics that you think
would make for a cool microsound styled (whatever the hell that is) panel
graphic...the graf is tiled across the panel so whatever you make can take
advantage of this (or not)...rule of thumb: the more fuct up the graphic,
the better...
- once you get something you like email it to:
software@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
- you can submit as many as you like...all of them may not get into the
final collection but most will be chosen...
- the collection deadline is April 30th
- all images are (cc) and will become open source...
