Below you'll find information about two upcoming workshops in the New Tools
series at FACT, Liverpool. 'Artists' Rights in the Digital Age' is highly
recommended - Rob Grose, who will lead the workshop, is the only
artist/barrister I've ever met, something of a tactical guru.

URBAN WIRELESS
31 March 2004
With presentations from leading technologists and activists working with
wireless networking, this day-long show and tell workshop offers a
realistic insight into the future possibilities of the computer in the
public domain. Exploring the practical options for two-way high bandwidth
data use through portable communications in the urban environment, this
workshop will point at some routes for projects already underway.

ARTISTS' RIGHTS IN THE DIGITAL AGE

Working with artist and trained Barrister Rob Grose, this workshop will
explore the ways in which copyright, plagiarism and intellectual property
and its exploitation may impact upon the work of artists working with
