PRESS RELEASE:

Gentle Bakemono, naw, and VJ faux amie join forces to explore their
darker
sides. David Kristian will be presenting his soundtrack Italo/Electro
alter ego as "Gentle Bakemono": David's new dark disco demon alter-ego.
naw is presenting all brand new material that will be appearing on a
number of his upcoming releases to be released over the next six months
including material from his newsest Noise Factory Records full length
titled "Dropfile and Other Lost Data" due for release later this summer.
There will also be a rare treat: the two artists will create an
improvised jam
together for this session. Drawing on their shared background,
both artists will compose in real time a soundtrack of minimal
ambience leading up to their live solo perfomances later in the evening.
VJ faux amie rolls out new visuals that will subtly build to a
crescendo of paranoia and betrayal.
The imagery won't jolt you out of your seat, but might make you look
over your shoulder on
the way home.

Bios:
Gentle Bakemono is David Kristian; one of Canada's premier

Even though Neil's (naw) composition and production styles are diverse
he
keeps a central focus throughout all his production: experimentation.

naw, on various national and international record labels, including

Michelle Kasprzak, aka VJ faux amie, has worked as a VJ for several
years, cutting her teeth on warehouse parties in Toronto and
progressing
to perform with the El Kabong collective in Los Angeles and Toronto at
several large venues. She also collaborated with Slavica Ceperkovic to
create "take take cake cake", the first video mixing performance
presented in a formal gallery setting in Toronto. Her most recent
performance incorporating video mixing was entitled "I Love A Parade"
and took place at the 2003 Festival
International Nouveau Cinema Nouveaux Medias de Montreal (FCMM). She
has
used tools such as Touch 101, SoftVNS, and simple analog mixers to
  accomplish her visual goals.
