LARRY KUCHARZ "AMBIENT RED WASHES" (INTERNATIONAL AUDIOCHROME)

This may be as perfect as it's possible for a CD of pure ambient to be. The
overwhelming beauty is instantly lulling. It's pure instant warp to another
universe entirely, to the depths of peaceful space. God, this is alluring. Soft,
drawn out "washes" of ambient tones with the softest of electronic beepings -
fully in line with the soft melodic standard the upfront washes present - add
just the right amount of minimal texture. It's something to think about how
something as simple as ambient can be so encompassing, so enveloping of the mind
as to destroy any hint of listlessness that might onset with more
"complicated" music. I stand in awe of the ethereal universe Kucharz has created on this
CD; this is easily the best selection of ambient tracks I have heard in a long
time ... maybe ever. Kucharz deserves to be hailed and embraced by the
chilled music community for setting such a high standard. This is a perfect example
of what ambient music should be. I know I'm getting effusive but I'm
struggling to find the words to convey just how wonderful this is. You'll just have to
hear for yourself. Kucharz is amazing.
