RE: [microsound] [OT] Elvin Jones RIP



it is a sad but true fact that many
obituaries for musicians, politicians, actors,
etc, are written during "down time" in
advance (of the person dying) so that,
should that person die during a very
busy news day, the obituary just needs
to be quickly updated with the actual
death date and then it is ready to be
printed.  dunno whether mr. jones is
dead or not, but with obituaries so
"ready to go", it is possible that someone
jumped the gun at the news site and mistakenly
printed an obituary when it shouldn't have
been. hope this helps. andrew duke
