Sutekh: http://www.context.fm/sutekh.html
Since 1997, San Francisco-based Sutekh has released consistently
inconsistent electronic music on labels such as Soul Jazz (UK), Force
Inc./Mille Plateaux (Germany), Orthlorng Musork (USA), and his own Context.
Manipulating and abusing computers, samplers, synthesizers and found sounds,
he has created everything from deep, minimal house and techno to dense,
dissonant noise collage.

miba
is mark bartscher and kristin miltner. miba makes music with bells, voices,
computers, trees, self-created software patches, birds and cats, creating
rhythmic granular textures ranging from harmonic washes to dense noise.
their video is inspired by the open sky and fields of their native midwest.
their installation work is made of suspended found objects that trigger
fragments of found sound. Some shows and projects that miba has been involved
with are the San Francisco Electronic Music Festival at SOMArts, the CEAIT
Festival at Cal Arts, the NWEAMO Festival in Portland, the Sacramento Noise
Festival, the Strictly Ballroom Series at Stanford University, the Thursday
Night Special, CPEACH in Eureka, and Electric Pacific at San Jose. miba also
plays with Bilge-Radiolaria,CMAU,the Brown BunnyEnsemble, and Out of the
Loop.

Clay Chaplin
is a composer and improvisor living in Los Angeles. He has collaborated on
many projects throughout the US and Europe involving contemporary sound and
music, live video, improvisation, and technology. His recent works explore
improvisation with video in tandem with computer processed sounds and
samples. Chaplin has taught in the Composition New Media and Integrated
Media programs at CalArts and was recently nominated for a Rockefeller Grant
in Experimental Video. Chaplin was Composer in Residence for the Fall of
2002 at the Center for Contemporary Music at Mills College, where he
created, directed, and performed with a six member video improvisation
ensemble. He is heading to Japan in June of 2004 for the NIME Conference and
a mini music tour. Clay's music is available on Artifact Recordings.
