[microsound] Re: Grainstorm
Hi Dave, list,
I have used this effect with both an EPS-16+ and an ASR-10. I found it
very useful for both, but the EPS must have difficulty proccessing all
that data, because it would clip horrendously. Not an altogether bad
result, but there is no way to get rid of it. On the ASR it is much
smoother, and more like software granular synths.
For hardware, I think its implementation is very robust. You can assign
a midi controller or modulator to any parameter. I particularly (haha)
like the way it spreads grains over the stereo field.
