RE: [microsound] Dr. Max Matthews (was our first .microsound poll )



Hi Bill,

I absolutely know what you mean. 

Although, I was the opposite. Being the nerd that
I am and was as a kid, it actually steered me towards
electronic music.

.... eventually I figured how to program sounds on
my Atari 400 using Basic. The duration of the notes
depended on their frequency, which probably explains
why I have no rhythm.

Whether we like his artistic output or not, and whether
we know it or not, Dr. Matthews work has probably
influenced most on this list.

.... then again, I don't remember if voted for him on
the poll...
