Re: [microsound] video glitch

if i skip around between scenes
i get these strange, chunky, moving ghosts.  i've done
this in mplayer and quicktime.

Oh yes, DivX/XviD encoded movies (and even some liv streaming Real Video) that I guess have some errors in them can produce very strange things like faces that morphs into other objects or melts - sometimes over several seconds. But I guess it's very hard to make these errors behave predictable. I have tried this once or twice, like overloading the CPU while encoding a clip or simply open the video file in a hex editor and change a few values here and there. Either I saw nothing or the clip stopped working... : )
