hi billy:

the night i DJ at is called dogs blood rising. in case you're not familiar with the name, it comes from a post-industrial/psychedelic folk group called current 93. the website is http://www.dogsbloodrising.org

that sort of set the tone initially, but the focus has grown in the year it's been around. you can see laptop artists, industrial noise-makers, neo-folkers, post-rockers, avant-garde soloists or ensembles. in between, DJs spin music you probably won't hear anywhere else in this town, and some kind of imagery is usually being projected on the wall. we also welcome musicians to bring their own video artists. or, since you do visuals too, that might be something you could be involved with just in that capacity.

it happens the last saturday of every month at a small lounge called the lucky cat. the cover is $3, which is mostly to give something to the artists who play, a little to the DJs, cover a few promotional expenses, and keep going.

i'm not the person who books the night, i'm just putting some feelers out and promoting it on various lists. if you check out the website and the artist links (they are varied, you can't go by just one or two), and think you do something that fits in, contact angel at princesscoldheart@xxxxxxxxx

thanks again,

derek rush
