Re: [microsound] pixels per minute?
Hello,
my recent research is using graphical realtime processes as
soundgenerators, kind of other way around the hip VJ thing. I use
Conways well known cellular automat in concert and exhibition context,
also visual simulation of swinging surfaces picked up (in virtual
domain) and used as soundcreators and others. The simularity between
visual and sonic algorhythms are tempting so I began to program. As
someone already mentionend here, its just numbers.

(sorry, in german so far but soon some quicktimes..)
Samples can be regarded as the pixels but other, not necessary digital
aproach to the smallest atom of sound could be also the partial tone
according to Fouriers theory, which says every complex function can be
approximatly made by composing sinus functions.
Cheers,
Malte
