Why not simply get a cheap, simple dj mixer? That will serve as a amp for
your turntable, it´ll have headphones out and they are generally available
at very modest prices. Besides, you will be able to put something along the
lines of "Awesome Sound Mixmaster Professional 3000XSQ" in your gearlist
;¬).

Yes, it´ll look like crap but it does sound like the simpelest solution to
me and if the horrible look it will no doubt have bothers you you can always
take a can of spraypaint tothe front panel.
