Re: [microsound] Manifesto for Growth (submitted for your consideration)

this is neat.

these statements seem narrow minded to me:
14. don't be cool - cool is conservative fear, dressed in black
25. avoid software - because everyone has it

*14 it would be fine as "14. don't be cool" - the added comment is stereotypical
and is taking an stab at people.
*25 missing an adjective in front of software.

these statements seem contradictory:
26. don't clean your desk
29. organisation is freedom - the split between creatives and suits is archaic
*imho, what manifests in the small scale is inherent in the large.

on another topic, having to do with bruce mau:

i didn't like massive change. there was alot of propaganda there.

things like:
"statement or word" + "statement or word" = "statement or word"
when statements or words can have multiple meanings.

also; i remember in the section on how things are "improving"
phrasing like: "X% of the population have access to clean water."

whereas it should have been: "X% of the population do not have access to clean
water." or possibly "only X% of the population have access to clean water."

unless, ofcourse, sacrifice is still required after the proposed massive change.

i came expecting global "design" (a decorative or artistic work) and realized it
what was more about global "design" (an anticipated outcome that is intended or
that guides your planned actions).

i should have brought a notebook for all the faulty logic, information
distortion, and statements without explaination that were occuring at that exhibit.

due to the marketing, promotion, location, and size: non critical thinkers tend
to see such things as fact.

i felt, and i wasn't alone on this, massive change was no more then over priced,
visually appealing idealogical propaganda.
