Two Melbourne acts exploring the tonal possibilities of the humble guitar, 
Winterville and North Atlantic, make their way to Sydney this weekend.


NORTH ATLANTIC's music traverses the open spaces of land & sea using
organic solo instrumentation, dream-like drones & computer generated
noise.

Motifs of clanging baritone guitar and shimmering double bass take
forfront in this avant-rock group WINTERVILLE, heading into openly
haunting melodic themes reminiscent of a minimal Morricone while falling
into field recordings and feedback.


Both bands are playing at Yvonne Ruve on Friday 23 September @ Yvonne Ruve
