Re: [microsound] built in midi

hi,

ok. i'm getting somewhat closer. first you should use the audio midi setup assistant found in 'utilities' under 'applications' . once that is organized find something called 'dl music device', which is an au plugin. i don't know if digital performer uses these , since i've never tried digital performer. it works in ableton live , though i can't get beyond the piano 1 sound . according to a (faintly amusing haha) translated german webpage ; that is supposed to be a problem resolved in the 10.3.8 upgrade:

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http:// www.macuser.de/forum/archive/index.php/t-67607.html&prev=/ search%3Fq%3Dquicktime%2Bmusic%2Bsynthesizer%2Bau%2Bplugin%26hl%3Den%26l r%3D%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dsafari%26rls%3Den

there is also the possibility one might be able to download something called 'soundfonts' and perhaps load them into the dl music device.

honestly , remember when people used to program fairlights and such and other people thought they were brilliant? it must have been much easier than this...
