-My inkling about the new (rumored) quad-processor version of Apple's
 PM, is that its specs look quite promising on paper, but that the
 problem basically is, that software-developers aren't allowed to
 develop usefull things, because it's Apple last model before they
 go 'intel'...

Advice to buyers: Don't fall for the temptation if you're planning to
run Mac OSX, if you plan to run a LinuxPPC version: it's a wonderfull
machine for floating-point operations (21.7GFLOPS is rather nice for a
desktop-machine, I presume...).
Thus, decide for yourself...
