So what's the use of using cookies (Except for eating of course...)?

It continues with:
'they serve only to improve your viewing pleasure.'
Which is a rather shallow argument, because cookies have nothing to do with
viewing. They are simply an identification-mark.
Also not very nice and rather an indication of a paranoid mind.
If a webmaster wants to know more of the wherabouts of its forum-members, he
can simply log the particular IP-numbers of the entrants. Cookies are not
necessary
and very irritating. Just like pop-ups and silly attachments.
