Re: [microsound] laptop for home recording and live amplification

you should try to work around such things. every computer can be slow.anyway, live is a pain, it runs very slow on any mac, it's a known problem. logic should do fine, though you may have to freeze tracks with hungry plug-ins like reverb and synths. i also have my audio partition on the outer rim of my hd, some people told me it doesn't make a difference these days, but i still do it.
when is your computer getting slow? you do do your maintenance often? install anacron if you don't.

The reason I ask is that I have only just got my pb.....have all the usual
mac stuff but have logic, logic express and now a ableton 5 demo ion it.
It just seems horrendously slow whenever Im putting trax together..

with my hd's performance. (1.5Ghz pb, 5200 rpm HD)
